How is a carving made?
Wood carving has a long-established tradition in Val Gardena. The first wooden figures were created as early as the 17th century, and today are well-known far beyond the borders of South Tyrol. Hailing from the village of Sëlva/Selva di Val Gardena, master carver Rudi Delago learnt the art of carving from a very young age. But how are these wooden figures created? Rudi will explain all.
